Amazing!
The only thing I can say is WOW! I was kind of hesitant before buying this machine but it simply proved me wrong. I have been using this for about 4 months now and I truly fall in love with my PC. It would be tedious to list all the pros (storage, processor, memory, wireless N card,... ) but I am astounded by the quietness of the fan.

Very Good Tech
Although this computer is not quite "bleeding edge" technology it is right up there as far as performance and speed of software is concerned. The only way you might want a better PC is if you are a committed gamer or just have to have the most recent processor in your PC. For typical users it is just great.

A great machine for a great price
I purchased this Refurbished machine through Amazon, and the order was filled by J&R in NY. It's a beast of a machine. I chose standard shipping for free, but received the computer the next day. WOW. They overnighted it for free. I'm impressed!
First off, it was a real bargain at 9. The machine's 750GB of storage is plenty for me, given that I own an external harddrive and a laptop. Great specs. Windows 7 installed.
The biggest plus for me was the Wireless N card. It comes with a special antenna you screw onto the back (really simple). I bought an N compatible router also. This machine now runs my Magic Jack phone service flawlessly, and prioritizes the traffic through the N band, leaving the other computers in my house to chug along on the G band.
This computer is FAST, especially with the N card. I suggest you buy an N capable router to go with this purchase, you'll be very happy you did. 8 GB of ram, Quad processor, this thing really cooks.
Windows 7 is pretty great. I am pleased, and so far have not encountered any conflicts with other software I have installed. I use this computer at home, and have MS Office 2007, Photoshop, Flash, and some games installed.
One Con: The warranty on the Refurbished product is short, and I did have concerns about that. For the price I paid, I was very happy with this machine.
The other Con I can think of is all the HP software that is installed. Since the machine is a beast, you won't really notice the extra software applications running, but it's a breeze to uninstall all of the HP stuff you don't need.

Good value for all you get
I bought this computer after my old PC died, and I have to say it's very good value for what you get. The processor is fast and quad core, the hard drive is expansive, there is more than enough memory for the average user, and Windows 7 64-bit runs with no problem. It's also very quiet and has built in wireless.
I've used it for about 4 months with no problems. The computer has built in graphics, meaning no separate graphics card, so that is one area that would need to be upgraded if you want to game on it. That upgrade is plug and play though, and very easy. The graphics are fine for normal use; Aero runs with no problems.

May have exceeded my expectations...
I made this machine my new baby about 4 days ago and, so far, it has been nothing but fun. I bought this at my local Frye's for [...] with a BFG GeForce 210 ([...]) to replace the horrible Intel onboard graphics. The total was [...] with tax out the door, and I do believe I got my 700 bucks worth.
Out of the box, this thing is beautiful and setup would put a Mac to shame. I upgraded from a single core, Celeron 3.0GHz, and the quad Core2 is something to behold. The Q8300 chip it has is the most power efficient of the quad Core2's and it shows in how nearly silent this PC is. Quietest PC I have ever owned/seen except for laptops.
After I got it up and running and could see that all was well, I installed the GeForce 210. Install went ultra smooth and DVD playback was immediately improved. I installed an old copy of FarCry and set the graphics to their highest settings - the game played smoother than I have ever seen it before.
Unfortunately, the video card does add a fan and the system is no longer silent, it is still very quiet though, and you must do this for graphics that match the performance of this system. It is well worth it and you add an HDMI port in the process.
In the future, I plan to simultaneously upgrade the 300 watt PSU and the video card with the BFG trade-up program. That should be fun.
Awesome power (8GB of DDR3), quiet, Windows 7 - this thing rocks!
